What is batana oil?
An oil pressed from the fruit of the American palm, which grows in Honduras. It’s been used on hair there for generations, long before anybody was selling it online.
Can I put it in the Scalp Massager?
Yes, it’s made for it. Add a few drops to the massager’s oil chamber, switch it on and the oil is released through the head as you massage. Any left on your fingers goes through your ends.
How much should I use?
Less than you think. A few drops warmed between your palms and worked through the ends is enough for most people. If your hair looks weighed down, you’ve used too much.
Will it leave my hair greasy?
It absorbs rather than sitting on the surface, so it shouldn’t. Start with less and build up, and keep it mainly on the ends rather than the roots unless you’re using it as a pre-wash treatment.
Does it contain silicones?
No. Nothing in it is there to fake shine.
Will it grow my hair back?
No, and we won’t tell you otherwise. It’s a conditioning oil, not a hair loss treatment, and we’re not going to make a claim we can’t back up. If hair loss is what’s on your mind, a GP or a dermatologist is the right person to see.
