Hi, my name’s Robyn. For years my hair was the thing I worried about and never actually looked after. I bought whatever promised the most, the bottles with the before and after photos on the back, and I kept being disappointed in the same way.

Then I started paying attention to my scalp instead of my hair. It’s skin, and I had been treating it like nothing at all. A proper massage, a good oil through the ends, ten minutes at the end of the day with my hands in my hair and nothing else asking for me. It didn’t promise me a single thing, and it was the first part of the whole routine I actually looked forward to. What struck me along the way was how much this category sells and how little of it anybody can prove.

So I set out to make a small range I could stand behind. A scalp massage brush, batana oil from Honduras, and a spray for the days between washes.
